I think it only logs how many people, not repeated visits by the same person. However, if a person's IP address changes or if they look at it from a different computer, it will count as an additional "hit" even if they've already viewed the page.
By the way, don't fall for anyone's claims that they have a piece of software that can help you track who's viewing your page. This is mistaken information at best and spyware at worst -- either way it won't help you track who's looking at your page.
