Also if you are using Yahoo Messenger 8.1.0.249 , you can open an Instant Message box with anyone, then go to the top and click on VIEW then click on MY DISPLAY/ IMAGE OPTIONS, then click on CHOOSE A PICTURE. It will then permit you to choose from the pictures on your computer. If you have none on your hard drive, it offers an avitar icon you can use. You can use the same steps when you want to change the picture. Just the last step would be change my picture.

Not a cause of worry! You can try out a new layout which brings the profile page back to shape. You can also try out erasing all the cookies and cache memories from your hard disk, although your specific myspace layout isn't stored on your disk, this helps by enlivening your myspace layouts at the server.

I am compiling a web directory of myspace layouts which I hand picked from browsing thousands of sites. Although it is still not complete I hope to complete it soon and update it at least twice a week with exciting new additions.

1) Several times I have gone to Account Settings and requested an email to cancel my account, but still have not recieved a single email.

2) I've deleted all the info on my profile and wrote "DELETE ACCOUNT" in the tagline.

If it doesn't delete why don't you just leave it alone.
Well i jus delelted my account it my profile was gone the next day. Go to the account setting and at the bottom and it should say delete profile and it will ask you some questions and send you a confirmation email making sure that is what you want to do.. It's pretty simple about 5 minutes :) good luck!!

Myspace - account settings... you will see 3 sections - Email address, Account Settings, and Account Cancellation.

Click on Cancel Account in blue. You can't send them emails and ask them to delete it - it doesn't work that way. This way will do it though.

Hello, I am trying to change the picture on my yahoo profile. I tried to delet the current picture and I got the message below and when I tried to add a new pic, I got the same message. Go to SETTINGS....in BASIC INFO scroll down to YAHOO IDENTITY DISPLAY. Choose the SECOND OR THIRD option. They both say they are going to link the 360 page to your Yahoo ID. Click SAVE. There is no delay in this setting. Once you click save it changes it immediately.

If this does not work for you...then it is a beta bug that they 360 Team THOUGHT they had fixed...but obviously DIDN'T. Send a beta feedback form (located at the top of your page above SETTINGS) to Yahoo explaining the problem in detail. Also go to the 360 Team blog and leave a comment there. I have...and IF they respond, it usually takes awhile. It helps if you keep reporting over and over, to make sure it catches their attention.

I got a background from a bands profile but my contact tables and all that dont match it now. So i wanted to change the color of them like i did a couple months ago. When I log into Messenger (ver 8.0.0.711) with a profile, the information that is displayed when I click on "My Contact Details" is the contact information from the main user ID, and not that of the profile that I am actually using. And when I am IM-ing someone, the name that is displayed is the main ID, and not the profile. Is this a bug with this version of Messenger? Or am I doing something wrong?

I also have the same problem like u, i guess something wrong with the Y/M v8, since I installed it, virus %26amp; unlimited trouble shooting goes after it quite often. I think it only logs how many people, not repeated visits by the same person. However, if a person's IP address changes or if they look at it from a different computer, it will count as an additional "hit" even if they've already viewed the page.

By the way, don't fall for anyone's claims that they have a piece of software that can help you track who's viewing your page. This is mistaken information at best and spyware at worst -- either way it won't help you track who's looking at your page.

I used the Profile Editor on a library computer [using Internet Explorer] and at home I have Safari and Firefox. The changes that I made are unchangeable unless you use the Profile Editor. The Profile Editor only works in Internet Explorer. And I want to change my background.

I think there is a "Customise" button you can use instead of Profile Editor. Try that.

If that doesn't work, then you are just going to have to get back to that Library or get Internet Explorer at your house.

There really are not any safe or good myspace trackers. If you want to know (and dont believe me), take a look at Tom's page.

The trackers only work if you friends (or stalkers) also sign up for it. If you ever get posting from your friends, or see postings from your friends about these trackers... it's spam because your friend gave them their user name and password as part of the agreement.

The only tool you have to track visitors is by ip address. I've a friend in Floridia and I know when he visits me because he has a floridia ip address. But for all my friends who live in my city, you can't really tell who they are.

Just... there is no real tracker. Careful if you explore this area, you may end up losing control of your account.

I assume both PCs are not networked, that is they are stand-alone un-linked. I recommend you use Acronis True Image to Clone or Create an Image of the old PC and restore to the new PC. How to go about it within resource available? Create a Partition on the new Disk, then move the Hard Disk of the new PC to old PC as Slave Drive. Create an Image of the old hard drive to the new Partioton in Slave Drive. Then return the disk back to the new PC, start it up and Restore the Acronis Image. Thats all. Good luck

You can make it your profile that shows up when people click on your name from other places to see your profile by doing this:

Go to settings in your 360 page, in “Basic Info”.

scroll down to “Yahoo Identity Display” and choose option. The ones that say its linking the 360 page to your Yahoo ID. Then click save. Don't forget to activate your URL to the page too, so that people can simply type it in thier address bar. It will look like this:

its the same as when people type in http://profiles.yahoo.com/ *your Yahoo ID* , only with the other one...it will take them to your 360 profile.

No people can not track who visits your profile. I sure you know that it only counts the # of visits your site gets. Sometimes I think ppl use those spams on other peoples' profiless because they don't know what to say. I usually see those spams on profiles that have a lot of friends, like celebs. It might be their way to get attention. So sad.

However, if you send someone a message or an add request, it usually goes to the email, if it is set up, to inform that they have a message. Other than that, Nope!
There is a way, but it's not automated, nor is it too easy.

One way is to use CQ Counter (http://cqcounter.com/), which is designed to be a hit counter for websites. Basically, it gives you some code to put on your page, and a little picture appears that shows how many times your page has been viewed.

However, on the CQ Counter site, you can view the last 20 IP addresses that downloaded the little counter picture, meaning the last 20 IP addresses that looked at your page. If you visit the CQ Counter site regularly, you can keep a sort of log of IP addresses that visit your page, when they do, and how often.

An IP address, by the way, is the address that computers broadcast when they go on the internet. Each computer broadcasts its own unique address (usually- we'll get to that in a minute). The easy part is finding the IPs of people who visit your site, but the hard part is connecting those IPs with names.

Most people have IP addresses that are always the same, meaning whenever they view your site you'll see the same number. In this case, it's pretty easy to guess who has what IP- for example, if you get a new comment from someone at 11:02 AM, and you go to the CQ Counter site and see that an IP visited your site at 10:59 AM and that was the last visit for 20 minutes, you can pretty safely assume the IP was of the person who posted. In this way, once you can connect an IP with a name, whenever you see that IP on the CQ Counter last 20 view, you know they've visited recently.

If you're trying to track someone who looks at your profile but never posts anything, it's more difficult. You can do it, however, if you know roughly where that person lives, and if they don't live near most of the people that visit your site.

One way to try to see who it is is to run an IP you suspect to be a certain person through a location tracer, a program that points out a geographical position an IP broadcasts from. This is definitely not an exact science, though, and different tracers often contradict each other about where the IP is coming from. Often times it'll just tell you the nearest large city to the IP, since internet companies usually route their connections through large cities.

Here are some good tracer sites. Bear in mind many of them have limits on how many times you can trace IPs per week or per day:

Finally, sometimes, you'll match an IP to a name and find that the next time they post a comment, it's from a different IP! This is called a proxy.

A proxy is something used by a few internet companies, most notably AOL, that causes your IP to change periodically, usually every time you go on and off the internet. In this case, a person's IP is not always the same, in fact, it's almost always different.

Usually, though, it's similar. For example, one of my friends on a proxy always has an IP that starts with 624.67... or 624.68...

Whenever I see an IP like that, or close to that, it's probably her.

Whew. In conclusion, I guarantee you're not going to find an easier way to find IP addresses off the internet than that without extreme coding knowledge. And I guarantee all those other guys are scams. And, I DEFINITELY guarantee that there's NO way to automatically find names of people who go to sites. It simply cannot possibly be done.

There are some laptops that offer a few different graphics options, but those can only be changed at the factory by the manufacturer, before being shipped to stores.

Look at the top of this screen. See where you Sign Out, next to that it says My Account. Click on My Account, go to Change/Edit Profile. For example: My Yahoo ID is vancruiser, so I used Van for my first name and Cruiser for my last name. This way no one knows my real name unless I give it to them.

The profile view counter is inaccurate. When I started my profile, it had only 3 views during the first week, and one day it went up to 11 views. I know that does not answer your question, but they are so many people on myspace, the site itself probably will act crazy from time to time.

Maybe its resetting itself. Mine hasn't done that. I have 6,532 Profile Views %26amp; it hasn't ever gone down. It's always going up. If it keeps doing it, it may be some kind of myspace technical error. Try contacting them.

I don't think it's accurate at all. My profile views have been stuck for the last couple of days, I read a myspace forum and other myspacers are having the same problem, either views are going down or stuck! This seems to be happening pretty frequently.

You dont really need a program or website to increase your views. Create a profile that people want to see for what ever reason. What are you interests? Join a myspace group to relflect that common ground. Make sure you have your school listed and your employer. A lot of people search for other people that work for the same company. As far as music goes I use www.profilepitstop.com I would warn you though the more crap on your profile the less it will be viewed. Keep it neat and keep it simple. It just disappears and reappears every now and then. Sometimes you can get it to show if you refresh the page, other times not. Don't worry, it will come back by itself eventually - maybe just a few minutes, maybe a few days...

This is a long-time 360 issue. The counter/pageviews feature is notoriously unreliable. The best thing is to ignore that feature. You can't reset or modify it yourself.
